We will be present at the Consorzio del Bardolino and Chiaretto stand in San Francisco on Monday 4th March with the Slow Wine USA tour 2019.

The rosé from the eastern shore of the lake Garda has been receiving a lot of attention internationally in the last few years and for us this is a great opportunity to show our new vintage, Chiaretto 2018 to a keen audience.

First event of the New Year!
On Sunday 27th January from 10:30 to 19:00, Guerrieri Rizzardi will attend the Treviso Slow Wine 2019, hosted at the Best Western Premier BHR Hotel Treviso. Wines from Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia included in the Slow Wine guide 2019 will be on tasting, along with gastronomic excellences prepared by food artisans selected by Slow food. Don’t miss it !

Canada’s biggest daily newspaper just reviewed our 3 CRU Amarone Classico 2012. Here are the highly appreciative words of Beppi Crosariol, Wine and Spirits columnist of the Globe and Mail, that gave it an amazing 96 points :

“If one could use just a word to describe this mouth-filling red, it might be “delectable. Three words ? How about “Black Forest cake” ? That’s what this red tastes like, cherries and all. Smooth and velvety, it strikes remarkable poise for a monster that tips the scales at 16 per cent alcohol. Lavish and complex, it would be a good candidate for up to 10 more years in the cellar, though it would be smashing right now as an after-dinner alternative to whisky, brandy or rum, especially with cheese”.

We hope our friends in Ontario will fall in love with Beppi’s words….and our Amarone too !

Wine and food lovers are gearing up for the 27th edition of the Merano Wine Festival. The highly anticipated annual appointment with wines of excellence will take place from the 9th to the 13th of November at the palatial Merano Kurhaus. Guerrieri RIzzardi will show the recently double award winning – Tre Bicchieri and Cinque Grappoli – Villa Rizzardi Amarone Classico 2013 as well as the Tre Bicchieri finalist Pojega Ripasso 2016.

Come and visit us at table 254 in the Pavillon des Fleurs.

Guerrieri Rizzardi is delighted to be part of the Decanter Italian Fine Wine Encounter at the Landmark Hotel in London on Saturday 2nd June.

Owner and winemaker Giuseppe Rizzardi will present a strong lineup that includes the new vintages of Soave Classico and Villa Rizzardi Amarone. At the top of the list our brightest star, Calcarole Amarone Classico 2011, that was not so long ago awarded 93 points at Decanter Magazine’s Amarone tasting – overall the 3rd highest score from 166 wines.

“Italy’s most iconic wines under one roof”, as the event is presented, promises some super tasting moments for enthusiasts and experts alike.

We are delighted to announce that our Tacchetto was the highest scoring Bardolino in the prestigious International Wine Challenge 2018, being awarded an overall 92 points and the silver medal !

Tacchetto is a single vineyard that has its own unique soil, with small stones and calcareous rock, with a breezy, airy location. This peculiar terroir (along with lower yields) has allowed the Corvina grape, through the years, to acquire a more elegant and structured flavor profile.

A great recognition for the work we do to enhance our Cru wines.

Featuring 14,000 wines from 40 countries, London Wine Fair has a real buzz about it in recent years and this year’s event is taking place from the 21st to the 23rd of May at the Olympia, London.

Guerrieri Rizzardi will be at stand B52, the home of our friends and national importer New Generation, for the whole day on Tuesday the 22nd.
