With the piece “50 minutes” Maria Savoldi has won the Competition of Sculpture “Antonio Canova” promoted by Guerrieri Rizzardi
Maria Savoldi, 25, of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna has won with the work “50 minutes” this fifth edition of the National Sculpture Antonio Canova, promoted by the Veronese winery Guerrieri Rizzardi, the only competition entirely aimed at young talents of the Academies of Italian Fine Arts.
The competition this year has received the support of the Regional Council. In addition to a monetary prize, Maria Savoldi will now hold a solo show at the Museum Gipsoteca of Possagno (Treviso) where in March will be the exhibition of the work of last year’s winner Michele D’ Agostino.
